Privacy Policy

Effective: June 2026
Last updated: June 2026

Intergrateo Press ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and we are preparing for the privacy reforms taking effect from December 2026.

Intergrateo Press is a registered business name operated by a sole trader based in Victoria, Australia. If you have any question about this policy or your information, contact us at contact@intergrateo.com.

1What we collect

We aim to collect only what we need. Depending on how you use the site, this may include:

  • Contact details you give us directly, such as your name and email address when you email us, subscribe to updates, or send a submission.
  • Submission material from authors who send us queries, synopses, or manuscript samples.
  • Usage data collected through cookies and similar technologies, such as pages viewed and general location, but only where you have consented to analytics. See our Cookie Policy.
  • Technical data such as your IP address and browser type, which our hosting and security systems process to keep the site running and safe.

We do not seek sensitive information (such as health, racial, or political information) and ask that you do not send it to us.

2How we collect it

We collect information directly from you when you contact, subscribe, or submit. We collect usage data through cookies only after you consent. Some information is collected on our behalf by service providers, described below.

3Why we use it

  • To respond to your messages and enquiries.
  • To deliver the updates or newsletters you ask for.
  • To read, consider, and respond to author submissions.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it (analytics, with consent).
  • To keep the site secure and prevent misuse.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

Where the December 2026 reforms apply, we rely on a clear and lawful basis for each use, and we will not use your information in ways you would not reasonably expect without telling you first.

4Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, and only as needed:

  • Email and productivity: Google Workspace (Google LLC).
  • Newsletter and publishing: Substack Inc.
  • Website hosting and security providers.
  • Analytics provider, only if you consent to analytics cookies.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

5Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers (including Google and Substack) store and process data outside Australia, including in the United States. By using the site or these services, you acknowledge that your information may be handled overseas. We take reasonable steps to use providers with appropriate safeguards.

6Your rights and choices

You may:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is wrong or out of date.
  • Request erasure of your information, where we are able.
  • Withdraw consent to analytics at any time using the cookie preferences control, or unsubscribe from updates using the link in any email.
  • Object to certain uses, including any future profiling or targeting.
  • Complain if you are unhappy with how we have handled your information.

To exercise any of these, email contact@intergrateo.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.

7Cookies

We use essential cookies to make the site work and, with your consent, analytics cookies to understand how it is read. We do not use advertising cookies. Full detail, and how to change your choices, is in our Cookie Policy.

8Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. We keep information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as the law requires, and then we delete or de-identify it. Author submissions are retained for a limited period and then removed unless we are in active discussion with you.

9Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.

10Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or the law change. The current version is always posted here with its effective date. Significant changes will be noted clearly.

11How to complain

If you have a privacy concern, please raise it with us first at contact@intergrateo.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
